The Renaissance castle, dating from the second half of the 16th century, is an important example of an arcade-castle, which was first developed in Italy. Despite alterations to the interior at the end of the 18th century, it has retained its almost intact Renaissance features including the unique sgrafittoed decorations on the facades and gables. It also retains a number of ancillary buildings and gardens. The castle was UNESCO listed in 1999.

Portmoneum - J. Váchal´s Museum

Josef Vachal is one of the most extraordinary Central European artists of the 20th century. The museum presents Vachal´s wall paintings inspired by Vachal´s interest in mystique, Oriental religion and philosophy. Vachal was a writer interested in free graphics, namely colour woodcutting, painting, and ceramics decoration and painting and cutting decoration of furniture. The work on saving the unique Portmoneum (its financial value is beyond calculation) was financed and organised by Paseka Publishing House.
